Impressions

Written By Destiny Bergeron

As the sun rises

i say goodnight

My restless mind
Stirs my pen
Bewitched by the night
The sun taunting me
As it peeks through
The treeline
My eyes watery and puffy
But my mind just keeps
Rambling
I look at the words
That wouldn’t be legdibale
If I wasn’t the author
Letters blur together
like those paintings
that look a mess up close
When you step back
its beauty shows
Scribbles of myself

A Poets Wish — May 3, 2019

A Poets Wish

Written by Destiny Bergeron

What I want most

Is for people to have their own voice

I cant help but to wonder

if we all were automated

Emotion replaced by emoji

We don’t say what we think

we say what think is right

its not wrong to be different

The most amazing things

Are the ones we don’t understand

Exploration Is the foundation

to the unknown Wonders of the future

But you’ll never know if

If you cant think for yourself

If you sound like everyone else

Find what makes you different

And turn it into what makes you amazing

That might be the most cliche

Line I ever wrote

But its what I wish for most

Insight

We can’t accomplish anything if everyone has the same ideas

Lil Blue lines — April 16, 2019

Lil Blue lines

Written By Destiny Bergeron
can’t say it’s something
I had to practice or master

The ability to control words

twist and contort

them to my flow
has always been my special power

Some would call it a gift
Although I don’t recall receiving it
I say it’s my hideaway

I’ve been inside these lil blue lines

So many times

it’s like
The only place I feel alive

The rhythm of my mind

heart and soul

Bumps so hard I can only hear

the beat of my pen

My hands cramp as my letters start to cram together,

I’m gonna have fun trying to decipher

This labyrinth of words.

Scribbles of my soul
Lead to places I’ve never been before

Then right back to the beginning

I’m lost in my lil blue lines again
Guided only by

The glide of my pen
Searching for a reason to my rhymes

Wondering why
these words bounce around
In the back of my mind

Clouding up till they build up enough to let go

Sometimes they just trickle
Other times

they storm down with, such force

I’m helpless to the flow

Is it a blessing?

or am I cursed?
Am I a victim?

or a maestro?

Do I control this like an artist
or does it control me like an addict

If you were able to take

every rhyme I ever wrote
and lay down like a road

I wonder where it would go.

Wherever it leads

I will follow

what I find
in these lil blue lines forever

Stonehenge — March 3, 2019

Stonehenge

Written By Destiny Bergeron

I hear it in my heart

The pounding starts

First, there are no words at all
It just builds and fills
Every part of me
Through my arteries
Running off my energy
Extracting the deepest
essence of my being
Leaving this page with
The stains on my ruins
Blindsided — February 5, 2019

Blindsided

Written by Destiny Bergeron

To the left

to  the right

Get in line
Don’t try to speak
Of a different side
You’ll be criticized
And scrutinized
It’s a waste of time
You may be right
You could be
Screaming the truth
From the middle
But everyone else
Is too far away
to hear you
We can’t function
Like this
If we’re divided
Well never be able
to move forward
We have to remember
The great evils we’ve overcame
The Authors of Freedom
America needs us
To step up
I know we all are different
Everyone is
Our troops have been forgotten
The longest war in our history
Silenced by facebook
And Twitter
And mainstream medias
Refusal to report on it
We might not be able to agree
On gun control
Or immigration
Our Soldiers, our
Friends, mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers,
Are dying in an endless war
let us come together to bring
Our loved ones home
And End the never-ending War

Before

Written by Destiny Bergeron

Have you ever been broken-

And afraid everyone can see ?

Screaming into the dark~

That ravished your world.

Till your screams turn to cries~

And you’re reduced to your knees.

That’s where I was~

when she found me.

And she wonders why~

I wonder ….what she sees in me~

I guess it was necessity ~

Honestly we had no reason~

To give eachother so much trust.

Fell in love in not even a month~

When I look back on us~

I see the universe work.

In the most profound way.

Crashed us tohether~

Right before~

the darkness~

took us forever~

As if the Universe knew

We’d survive

tearing eachother apart

That our hearts would reform

stronger than they were before

Insight…. I use to think of her as the one that got away

Now I know our purpose was greater~

I’m stronger

Silent Night — January 17, 2019

Silent Night

Written by Destiny Bergeron

Sometimes there is just

Nothingleft to wright

You my pen has gone dry
The page is bright white
like snow untouched in the night
The empty blue lines
Quiet and still
With out my pen scratching
And pressing the impressions
Of my messy life
At this time I realize
The beauty in not being able to find a rhyme
It’s just a silent night….

Boyle’s Law — December 14, 2018

Boyle’s Law

The temperature is rising

According to the law of physics

The hotter it gets
the more pressure is created
Are we strong enough not to
Explode or emplode
Like so many failed attempts before
Do we have the variables needed
And the patience to figure out the equation
Love isn’t a science
I’m starting to think different
We try so hard but we can’t
Change who we are
We just gotta keep making since
Inorder to make it
Exposure — December 6, 2018

Exposure

Written by Destiny Bergeron

Grinding graphite

crushing under

The pressure

Leaving my impression

For all time

Fossilized on these lines
Are the moments
I stole from life
I hide them away
in this notebook
The one’s I wanna remember
And some I can’t forget
The forevers and never agains
Archived in rhyme
The ages
Piled on top of the pages
Turning them to stone
On the surface you know
The real beauty is
Hidden deep in the grain
Like the veins running
Through a mountain
You have to follow their path
Carved by my pen
The high and lows
To know the depths
of these words
