The Hunt — March 13, 2019

The Hunt

Written by Destiny Bergeron

Know I don’t scare easily

Your a savage you feast

but I see the beauty in the beast

Despite those you have lost the fight

Beneath your sheets

I’m not weak

You take what you plz

Leave them in pieces

For hearts you are a fein

You think I’m like the rest

I’ll be begging on my knees

Well do what you please

I’m stronger than you think

I enjoy the hunt

You think I’m the prey

You dont realise how far I can run

You’ll be be hunting this heart forever

And that’s just what I want

Nightmares of a Poet  — January 29, 2019

Nightmares of a Poet

Written by Destiny Bergeron

I’m sunbathing on the beach

The world crumbles under my feet

I start to see the will of humanity

get washed out by the sea

Tides pounding the cries of our ancestry

On my beach, the horizon is all I see

Or is it a tsunami

cuz, it seems to be

taking over the sky

Our planet doesn’t care

if we live or die

And it would be

smart to end our time

We are very selfish beings

That put wealth above

the ground we walk on

Billions of kinds of different life

has lived without destroying eachother or our planet

like we are doing

When the wave starts to black out the sun I wake up

Wondering if my dream

Is a warning of what’s to come

Maybe it’s a metaphor

for my own life

I wipe the tears from my eyes knowing the fear I felt

wasn’t only mine

What do you see

when you dream of mankind

Kryptonite — October 11, 2018

Kryptonite

My words can get pretty graphic,

When she’s the topic,

I am transfixed

In her lips,

Lost in her grip,

All sinces are redirected

towards her direction,

She knows I’m helpless

and plays with my ambitions,

I wanna know her every secret,

Search her like an unknown world,

Learn  the language of her soul,

Explore the parts of her

that make her beautiful,

Try to make her feel a fraction

of the reaction her love causes,

She is the variable that completes

my equation,

I could go on for pages

but it would all have the same reasoning,

She’s completely amazing.

First Sight — April 28, 2018

First Sight

The woods are awakening

Creatures scurry as I thump

Down the path

The air fills

with earth and water

Birds squawking

My every movement

Rays of sun sneak through the canopy

Spotlighting random patches nature

The smell grows stronger as I get closer

Through the mesh of trees I see

Lil glimpses of her shimmer

I feel her rhythm against the earth

The forrest opens, my heart quickens

At the sight her

Alive and full a life

Watery Eyes — April 8, 2018

Watery Eyes

Written by Destiny Bergeron

So back to you and I

My notebook

Living rhyme for rhyme

Writing lines till my watery eyes

Start  to burn and I

have trouble seeing my own words

My comprehension is impaired

my flow is not

So I wipe the tired from my eyes

And realize it’s been a long time

Since I fell asleep with my notebook

By my side

I once gave everything to my poetry

Now I  pay bill and keep  myself

From going hungry

My notebook never left me

Just laid under my matrices quietly

Till the flow tidal waved

through me awakening

The poet in me

As the words rush in

I try my hardest to catch

A Line, metaphor, or word,

pull it onto this paper

Give them shelter

A place in this world

A chance to be heard
